Tech Tips
Oil, LPG & Natural Gas Spares > Drive Couplings
Drive couplings are used to transfer drive from the burner motor to an oil pump in order to deliver fuel to the burner nozzle, and/or the fan impellor to also facilitate the combustion process. Also, as the majority of drive couplers are made from a non-metal material (such as nylon), they also provide a fail-safe for the burner motor, in instances where the fuel pump has seized, by preventing additional strain on the motor driving a seized pump.
At PHC, we stock a myriad of different motor and fan couplings, shafts, drive dogs and complete coupling sets, in triangular, splined and ‘shaft flat’ patterns, for all burner makes and models.
